Shanon's Irish Bliss Review & Giveaway - CLOSED

I'm really excited to be able to tell you about another awesome Canadian Entrepreneur!
I've had the pleasure of reviewing some products for Shannon's Irish Bliss - Shannon has a wonderful little shop on Etsy where she sells handmade soap and Lip-Balm.



First let me tell you something about myself - I'm a huge, huge, huge, cosmetic, shampoo, soap, perfume etc. fan! Did I say huge? If it's out there I've tried it and if I haven't tried it you can bet I will soon! I'm very picky about the products I use, not many actually live up to their hype or my expectations. I will not spend my hard earned money on something that doesn't perform, is overpriced or is all talk and no action ... so to speak. So I have been hesitant to do reviews on any type of cosmetic, cream, lotions, etc., just because I am so picky and tend to be very judgmental.

So that being said....

Shannon sent me two of her handmade Lip-Balm to try. Little did she know that I am a Lip-Balm addict. I have a problem with slightly dry lips that always seem to be peeling and have little dry ridges that not only feel awful but don't look very nice when the lipstick or lip-gloss pools in the little cracks. So I'm constantly wearing lip-balm to try can counteract the problem.

The Lip-Balms arrived very quickly - within days of being shipped out.

I really, really love the vintage tin containers the Lip-balm comes in - the lid slides away so you can access the lip-balm below. I'm also happy that the containers can be reused once the lip-balm is gone. I think they'd make great storage containers for stick pins, bobby pins, a pill container for your purse etc. Way better than those plastic, lipstick style containers the commercial lip-balm comes in.

There are currently 25 flavors of lip-balm to choose from - yes I said 25 flavors!! I received Butter Pecan and Cherry Vanilla to review.




The minute you open these you just want to dive right in and eat them! They smell simply delicious!

I'm getting hungry just typing the list - just think - it's calorie free too!

So how does the lip-balm perform?

I can honestly say this is the best lip-balm I have ever had the pleasure of using. It is pure indulgence for the lips! It goes on so smoothly. It does not feel greasy or gritty like several lip-balms I've used in the past. It's made of pure, natural, oh so good for you ingredients like Unrefined natural cocoa butter, mango butter, natural Shea butter, sweet almond oil, jojoba oil and vitamin e and you can tell the moment you apply it. Your lips instantly feel moisturized and pampered.

A few minutes after being applied the heat from your lips cause the lip-balm to sort of meld into your lips. The result is a wonderfully soft, smooth feeling that lasts quite awhile before you need to reapply. I have used the lip balm daily since I received it and it has done an amazing job of putting the moisture back into my lips - no more dryness, no more little cracks and lines so no more pooling lipstick or lip-gloss! (If your a lip-gloss fan like me you'll be happy to know that if you apply lip-balm before putting on your lip-gloss it will stay on longer because it adheres to the lip-balm.)
The container holds a surprising amount of lip-balm as well. I've use it for about two weeks now - several times a day, and I've only made a slight dent in the container!

Will I purchase this?
